Did You Know? Al & Jeanie Tomani (Gibsonton’s very own Giant and wife) are buried in the Samford Cemetery?
For years, Michael and Susan Bunting of Wimauma tirelessly worked to maintain this important part of our History. But when Susan passed-away several years ago and Michael began suffering with health issues no one was there to continue the maintenance.
In order to continue these cleanups and find a consistent financial source for maintenance, Cally Kushmer will look to re-kindle the Samford Cemetery Association. Created by Susan Bunting, this 501c3 organization currently sits idle but can once-again serve to preserve this historical resting place we have in Riverview.
WHAT TO BRING: WATER, WATER, and WATER, it will be HOT. PLEASE BRING your gloves, rakes, push lawn mower, gas weed eater, gas, trash bags, chain saw, and any other lawn maintenance item you feel could be utilized.
Once complete, Danny, Cally, & James Kushmer will coordinate the debris removal.
