Danny Kushmer Proposes Hillsborough Become  2^nd Amendment Sanctuary County; State Scrap SB 7028

BRANDON, FL – Today, Conservative Republican Danny Kushmer proposed that Hillsborough County become a 2^nd Amendment sanctuary county in the wake of Senate Bill 7028.  The proposed law would penalize private transfers of firearms among law-abiding citizens by making the regulatory burden so great, Constitutional rights would be violated.  Gun control in any form that takes away the God-given, Constitutional rights that protect our liberties should not become law.

“Our Second Amendment rights are being stripped piece by piece across our nation by state and local governments. I will fight to make Hillsborough County, like Polk County, become a 2^nd Amendment Sanctuary County, so we can take back the language of our Founders and use it for good,” Kushmer stated.

“Limits on how many guns a citizen can buy, registrations that an be used by governments to confiscate weapons and red flag laws that fail to define who is a risk, circumvent due process and are just some examples of what will later become Big Government gun grabs.  We can’t allow our state and local governments to erode the fabric of our Constitutional rights. Rest assured, as your representative from Florida House District 59, I will protect our 2^nd Amendment and right to bear arms,”  Kushmer concluded.
