The day began waking up to a beautiful sunrise in Cocoa Beach. After packing up we headed to Dunkin Donuts for coffee, thinking the boarding process would take some time. Within 5 minutes we arrived at the Terminal, dropped off our luggage with the Porter and parked.
After a brief walk to the elevator and then meeting with our travel agent/host, we passed through the gates.
This happened so fast I only had time for two sips of coffee before going through security. Both Cally and I were shocked at the efficiency of the boarding process.
After all the greeters welcomed us to Royal Caribbean, we headed up the gangway and onto the massive ship they call Allure of the Seas. While the welcome did not include a Hawaiian Lei, it did sort of feel like we just landed in Hawaii.
Once onboard, I think I can speak for Cally and say we were overwhelmed at the grandeur and hospitality of the ship. While waiting for our suite, we explored the main Promenade, headed to the pool area, ate a hot dog on the Boardwalk and then went to Sorrento’s Pizza.
In what seemed like only a few minutes, our suite was ready. We headed to deck 7, found our room, dropped off our backpacks, soaked up some A/C and then, back to exploration and finding a spot for Sail Away.
Oh, just a couple weeks back, we celebrated our Anniversary. Cally made sure we continued the celebration.
Did I mention, we bought the “Drink Package”? We did and now was the time to start taking advantage. We found our Sail Away location, relaxed and dreamed of the days ahead.
Next up, the Perfect Day at Cocoa Cay.
