Early August in St. Augustine ihearttampa and I sought out the Fountain of Youth. Fabled for years and believed to be real by Ponce de Leon, we set out on our journey.
Along the way we encountered many diversions.
The foliage in NW Florida is beautiful. We even ran across a boat builder which we thought we may have to wait for it to be completed to continue our journey.
Surprised to find a church on our way, we decided to ask for a blessing for success.
We continued our journey.
And found a monument signifying Ponce de Leon’s conquer of the new world. Then, Ponce de Leon himself.
He led us down the path to immortality.
As we drank, and drank some more we could only hope.
Filled with water from the fountain, it was time to leave.
But alas, the only way out was through the gift shop. So we decided to bring home some booster water.
Oh, and even the natives were preening with glee at their new found youth. What a great day.
