Every two years or so, I have the honor and pleasure in hosting University of Florida’s Wedgworth Leadership Institute for Agriculture and Natural Resources during their Polk County Seminar. As a member of Class II I have fond memories of this two-year program that trains young ag leaders throughout Florida to take on more responsibilities in their communities and beyond.
My part of the seminar included a tour of Circle B Bar Reserve (on Flickr), Lake Hancock and several projects the Southwest Florida Water Management District has completed on the lake to improve water quality and ensure a minimum flow on the Peace River. Here are a few shots from the day. Oh, the lovely @ihearttampa was able to join me.
